World No. 2 Lydia Ko Sets Sights on Victory at Nail-Biting Aramco Team Series Showdown in Florida”

Lydia Ko, the second-best female golfer in the world, is all set to compete in the upcoming Aramco Team Series, presented by Public Investment Fund, at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

 

 

This highly-anticipated golf event is scheduled to take place from May 19-21, 2023, and will witness professional women golfers from all around the globe vying for a grand prize of $1 million.

 

 

Ko, who finished third in her debut appearance in Singapore, is looking forward to improving her performance this time. She said, “I really enjoyed this format when I played in my debut, and the team element of the event adds a new dimension and a bit of additional pressure where you’re playing for your teammates as well as for yourself.”

 

 

With her form trending in the right direction, having already won the Aramco Saudi Ladies International in February, Ko is expected to perform exceptionally well in this event.

 

 

The Aramco Team Series is a highly-regarded event on the Ladies European Tour, consisting of five events across the globe. Starting from Singapore, the series moves on to Florida, London, Hong Kong, before concluding in Riyadh in October.

 

 

The Florida event comprises of 36 teams, each with one amateur and three professionals, competing for the grand prize. Additionally, there is a three-day individual stroke play competition, where professionals compete for the Race to Costa del Sol and Rolex World Ranking points.

 

 

The event has become a favorite among golf fans globally, with top female golfers participating in these high-profile tournaments.
