Serena Williams’ borderline X-rated Wimbledon T-shirt made tennis fans do double take

When Serena Williams defeated sister Venus at Wimbledon in a reverse of the 2008 final, she posed a risky question to fans with her choice of t-shirt.

The Wimbledon Championships will get underway today without Serena Williams for the first time since 2017, but the presence of one of the sport’s all-time greats will still be keenly felt.

Since making her SW19 debut in 1998, the youngest of the Williams sisters appeared in 11 finals, winning seven of them, securing her legacy as one of the historic tournament’s greatest-ever champions.

Now 41, she finally hung up her racket last year, finishing her career with a record 23 grand slam titles, 73 tour titles and positioned first in the all-time rankings, not to mention the £74.8m she earned in prize money along the way.
