Andy Murray vs Stefanos Tsitsipas LIVE: Murray in trouble at Wimbledon as Brit trails

Andy Murray will resume his second-round match against Stefanos Tsitsipas on Friday after the curfew came into effect with the Brit leading by two sets to one on Thursday night.

Andy Murray and Stefanos Tsitsipas will resume their Wimbledon second-round match on Friday after the tournament’s strict 11pm curfew cut it short. The Brit came from a set down to lead 6-7(3) 7-6(2) 6-4 before play was halted at 10:38pm at the conclusion of the third set.

The curfew was enforced by the local Merton council when planning permission was granted for Centre Court’s roof and has been in place since the roof was unveiled in 2009.

With the momentum on his side, Murray wasn’t happy when play had to stop early on Thursday night as organisers ended the match 22 minutes before the 11pm limit – presumably to leave things fair instead of starting a few games of the fourth set.

Right before he closed out the third, Murray suffered a worrying fall and yelped in pain as he slipped on the grass but he quickly resumed play and took the lead before they had to stop.

The two-time Wimbledon champion and the fifth seed will be back out on Centre Court second after Carlos Alcaraz takes on Alexandre Muller.
