Special ‘Ovi’s Office’ logos installed at local rinks to honor Ovechkin
Capitals Youth Hockey Development team celebrates forward's milestone

As part of the Washington Captials’ community initiatives to honor Alex Ovechkin passing Gordie Howe for second on the NHL’s all-time goals list, the Capitals Youth Hockey Development team installed special “Ovi’s Office” logos on the ice at certain rinks in the Washington, D.C. area.
The #Gr8‘s office is now open!@CapsYouthHockey is working with select rinks throughout the DMV to install an “Ovi’s Office” logo on the ice for a limited time in 2023 – a favorite spot for local kids to practice their Ovi shot.#ALLCAPS pic.twitter.com/x0k0rBx8Nm

Ovechkin scored his 802nd career goal last season to pass Howe. Now he only trails Wayne Gretzky for most goals in a career. The logo is of course placed at the top of the left faceoff circle, the spot that Ovechkin has made famous with his slapshot.By the looks of it, business is already booming in Ovi’s Office at rinks around the DC area.
