Relishing Break From Tennis, 36YO Rafael Nadal Sneaks Out to Greece on His $5.4 Million Yacht for a Quiet Vacation as Pictures Show the Spaniard’s Humble Personality

Almost every tennis enthusiast is sorely missing Rafael Nadal and his dominating performances on the court. The Spanish tennis legend has been away from competitive tennis due to the injury woes that he picked up at the start of the season. Nadal’s absence from the tennis circuit also had a drastic impact on his rankings as he has dropped out of the top 100 spots of the ATP rankings.

Amidst the adverse phase, the 22-single Grand Slam champion has decided to unwind on his special ‘holiday location’, where he also had a trip in his luxury yacht. Here are some glimpses from his vacation trip on an exotic island as he savors the scenic splendor and culinary treats.

Rafael Nadal travels to Greece in order to unwind on an exotic island

According to an exclusive report from the GreekCityTimes, the ‘King of the Clay’ has been vacationing in the Ionian Sea which is located on the Halkidiki peninsula. It is the same location in Greece, where he founded his tennis academy, the only Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre.

Prior to visiting his tennis academy, the 22-single Grand Slam champion traveled to Corfu in his luxury yacht “Beethoven”. During his visit to the island off Greece’s northwest coast, the Spanish tennis star enjoyed the serene and beautiful view of the rugged mountains and a resort-studded shoreline.

Afterward, the 37-year-old player also visited Ithaca, which is known as the island of Odysseus. When he was there in Vathi, the former French Open champion also went for a walk while he also picked up some groceries from a nearby supermarket.

With his recent trip to the Ionian Sea, the Spanish tennis legend has made it clear that he is a huge fan of “beaches” as he previously traveled to another exotic island.

Nadal previously vacationed in the Bahamas
A few seasons back, the ATP legend was there in the island country within the Lucayan Archipelago of the West Indies. During that trip, Nadal was accompanied by his wife, Mery Perello, and his childhood friends as they enjoyed a rejuvenating vacation in the exotic location.

It has always been a special place for the ‘King of the Clay,’ who usually goes to the island during the off-court holidays of the season. Even during his vacation holidays, the tennis star was sighted training in the swimming pool.
