Days After Backing Justin Thomas, Only Fans Defector Paige Spiranac Renounces the PGA Tour Pro for the $7.8 Million Crown

The 2023 golf season has been very unexpected so far. The various major tournaments and other PGA Tour events have seen some unexpected winners, and it has just been thrilling. Paige Spiranac has always added to that expectation by sharing her picks for such events before they commence.

Yet another PGAT event, the 3M Open, is just hours away in Minnesota, and the former golf pro has shared her pick for this one. But it seems that she has now learned her lesson after getting her heart broken yet again by Rory McIlroy and one of the favorites, Justin Thomas, since they were not part of her picks like usual for the upcoming event!

Paige Spiranac shares her pick for the 3M Open
It appears that Justin Thomas is one of the all-time favorite golfers of the 3-year-old golf mommy. There have been plenty of times when the golfer has defended him and spoken in his favor. The most recent one was when JT failed to make the cut in the Open Championship, and she came to his rescue and asked people not to think any less of the golfer because of his bad stretch.

With many big names such as McIlroy, Viktor Hovland, Rickie Fowler, and others not competing at the 3M Open, Spiranac’s pick of the golfers was not her average choice. Even though JT is part of the field, the former pro golfer decided to put her money on Sungjae Im for the upcoming $7.8 million event. He is a young 25-year-old golfer who won on the tour once, back in 2020.

She posted the video on Twitter and described why she thinks Sungjae is the choice for this weekend. The gorgeous golfer said that he has been racking up his top 20 performances and has not been able to get it done so far, but this may seem like his weekend because the field is weaker. She also referred to him as one of the “best iron players on the tour.”

Spiranac’s post encourages golf fanatics to share their own picks for the upcoming event at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota. Let us look at some of the picks that fans have for this weekend.
