Jordan Spieth and Stephen Curry have more in common than being two of the biggest faces of the Under Armour brand in sports. Both are adept at making difficult long-range shots. For Curry, that’s on a basketball court, but Spieth is doing his magic at FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis.
Spieth made a 49-foot shot on the 16th hole in Round 1 Thursday, then he topped that with an even more difficult attempt Friday. The three-time major winner knocked in a 48-foot shot from a greenside bunker on No. 4 for birdie.
The shot put Spieth at 9-under, which was second in the field of 70 golfers at the time of the shot.
