Priscilla Presley Says Elvis ‘Would Have Been Very Proud’ Of Granddaughter Riley Keough

Priscilla was Riley’s date to the Emmy Awards on Monday.

Priscilla Presley has nothing but good things to say about her granddaughter, actress Riley Keough, and she thinks her late husband would feel the same way. Priscilla took to social media to sing Riley’s praises after accompanying her to the 2023 Emmy Awards on Monday night. Riley, who is the daughter of the late Lisa Marie Presley and Elvis’ eldest grandchild, was nominated for outstanding actress in a limited series or a movie for her role in Daisy Jones & The Six.

“I loved being with my beautiful granddaughter at the Emmy’s last night,” Priscilla wrote alongside a red carpet photo of her and Riley twinning in black Chanel. “What a talented young woman. I know Elvis would have been very proud!”

Priscilla was married to the King of Rock & Roll for six years before their divorce in 1973. In December 2023, more than four decades after their split, the 78 year old told The Times UK that despite everything they went through with Elvis, she will always love him.

“Do I dream of Elvis? Sure,” Priscilla admitted. “When someone has been such a big part of your life, that’s bound to happen. Living with him was a rollercoaster but I don’t think I’ll ever find anyone I love as much as I loved him.”

Priscilla and Riley’s joint appearance comes on the heels of a chaotic year for the Presley family. Riley and Priscilla settled their high-profile legal dispute surrounding the Presley estate following the death of Lisa Marie in August. Lisa Marie, Riley’s mother and the only child of Priscilla and Elvis, died unexpectedly last January at the age of 54.

“My family has resolved all confusion as it relates to our plea to the court and request for document interpretation after my daughter Lisa Marie’s untimely passing,” Priscilla said at the time. “Although some media identified such a plea as a lawsuit, I want to make clear that there was never any lawsuit filed against my beloved granddaughter.”
