“Rickie Fowler Ends 15-Year Farmers Insurance Streak Following Sponsorship Split”

Rickie Fowler once again sets up an upset for his former partner. The PGA Tour Pro and the bigwig financial services company cut their ties just weeks ago. This time, as per the official confirmation, Fowler is not going to tee up at the Farmers Insurance Open later this month. The familiar Farmers Insurance logo was not on his apparel when the PGAT Pro teed up at the Sentry earlier this month.

PGA Tour Communications shared the official field for the January 24 event on their social media handle. Although the list includes familiar names such as Tony Finau, Adrian Meronk, and Collin Morikawa,. Rickie Fowler’s name was the most glaring absence. Fowler has teed up at the Farmers Insurance Open for the past 15 years. Whether it is due to his sponsorship ditch is not clear, but surely it will be a little strange to not see the veteran golfer tee up at the event he has graced since 2009.
